Chad Heads to Iowa Speedway
Chad Heads to Iowa Speedway for Short Track ARCA Test Concord, NC---Chad Hackenbracht and his CGH Motorsports No. 58 Monte Carlo are heading to the ¾ mile paved Iowa Speedway for the ARCA Series open test in Newton, Iowa on June 30th. The New Philadelphia, Ohio native will buckle up for his 4th test of the year which has included stops at Kentucky Speedway, Talladega SuperSpeedway and Michigan International Speedway. “This is my first test on a race track in my ARCA car less than 1 ½ miles in length”, said Hackenbracht. “This should be my toughest test so far because racing on a short track is more difficult. I will have to be smooth with the gas pedal and the brakes. It is so easy to get the car sideways which can lead to big trouble”. The 17 year old Denver, NC resident is gearing up for an all out assault on the 2010 ARCA Rookie of the Year title by testing 8 to 10 times this season at tracks of all lengths and shapes. Early season testing has been positive and could lead Chad to attempting to qualify at a number of the remaining ARCA races starting in August. Team owner Greg Hackenbracht has seen a marked improvement from Chad’s first test in the heavier ARCA stock car coming from the 1300 pound Legend’s car that he drove the previous two seasons. “Chad improves every test which makes me proud as a father and as his team owner” stated Greg. “I was not sure how the speed would affect him on a 2 ½ mile Super Speedway but he seems to not be bothered by racing at 200MPH”. “It has been my dream to pursue racing as my career since I started racing at age 12”, added the 2008 Legends Car National Semi-Pro Champion. With each test I am one step closer to making my first start in the ARCA Series. Without the support and sacrifices that my family has made I would not be living my dream”. The entire team is gearing up for Chad’s ARCA debut including crew chief Rodney Jockish who has high hopes for the team. Look for Chad and his immaculately prepared race car as early as August this year. For more media information and sponsorship opportunities call Jordan Dahl at 570-234-5449.
